Today was a big day in the paper chasing process of the journey to our daughter. We received our large envelope in the mail from our courier in Washington.
Our documents passed through the State Department ....
then the Chinese Embassy.
Well actually we had a little hick up at the Chinese Embassy and two of our documents were rejected by the Chinese Embassy because a notary accidentally put 2011 instead of 2012 on two of our documents. After those documents were reissued and resubmitted we breathed a sigh of relief when they passed through the Chinese Embassy.
Everything has been moving so quickly and rather seamless but this little hick up caused us to miss being Dossier To China this Friday by a day. As Eric says "A day late and a dollar short!" I know God has his hands in every detail of this journey, including every piece of paper, every signature and every certification. It is by no mistake that we had this little hick up. We are trusting in his timing and excited to see what is next.
In our process with Max it took close to 9 months to get to this point ... this time a little over 3 months. I remember feeling like I was handing over months of blood, sweat and tears last time as I mailed our Dossier to our agency. This time it moved so fast I didn't have time to think about it and it was all familiar so it wasn't so overwhelming. I will say there still was this huge feeling of "WOW" again as I handed all our documents over the the Fed Ex man. They are out of our hands and the next stop is our agency. After they review it our Dossier will be on its way to China.
