30 Days

Thirty days ago we saw the face of our daughter for the first time.  I can't believe that 30 days have passed already and yet in the same breath time can't move fast enough!  When your daughter is an ocean away and the only tangible thing you have is a picture you can only imagine how many times a person can look at a picture and study it from top to bottom.

So where are we now? We are anxiously waiting for our LOA.  Our LOA is the official paperwork from China telling us that we have been approved to bring Ellie home.  During the LOA process our Dossier has to be translated, reviewed and then has to be matched up with Ellie's file and then approved. The LOA is the longest wait in our post referral paperwork.  Our agency told us that since we were matched so quickly after our paperwork was sent to China we could expect a 90-100 day wait for our LOA.  Well today we got some exciting news that we weren't expecting.  Our Dossier has moved out translation and they expect our LOA in 3-6 weeks.  If you add up the numbers it looks like even with a 6 week wait we will be getting our LOA way under 100 days! We are praying God continues to guide each step of this process and that we will continue to trust in his perfect timing for our family and our sweet Ellie!

We are officially 30 days closer to our baby girl!
